When he founded the Neiman Center for Dermatology and Hair Transplantation 25 years ago, Joseph B ,Neiman, M.D., F.A.A.D., a board certified dermatologist, took a unique approach to his practice. Although people tend to think of dermatology as care of the skin, hair and nails, Dr. Neiman has tailored his state of the art offices, staff, and his own training to provide the highest level of expertise in all of these areas.

            “My major focus is on hair transplantation, but I have developed a facility that includes licensed aestheticians, physician assistants, and experienced nurses who provide services unlike any other in the Western New York area. In fact, for hair transplantation, we have a worldwide client base with clients coming from as far as mainland China and Japan,” Dr. Neiman said.

            Dr. Neiman uses the mini and micro-grafting technique to transplant hair from healthy, growing areas to thinning or bald areas with amazing results.

            Besides boosting confidence and self-esteem, a hair transplant eliminates the ongoing and more costly lifetime expense of hair weaves or oral medication. Both of these are only temporary solutions to a permanent problem.

            The Neiman Centers licensed aestheticians provide European facials with massages, relaxing skin renewal facials, glycolic, vitamin C, and rosacea facials, pore cleansing, acne treatment facials, lip smoothing treatments and eye de-stress treatments. Unlike facials given in a typical salon or spa, our aestheticians are governed by strict infection control and work under physician supervision.

            “I attend continuing education courses to maintain my knowledge and skills at the highest level, and our aestheticians are continuing to update their education and treatment knowledge as well.” Dr. Neiman said. “Our goal is to provide the best possible, leading edge services to our clients.”

            Additionally, the Center provides sclerotherapy (spider vein therapy) involving the injection of a solution into the spider veins to collapse them so they gradually disappear; collagen, a safe non-surgical treatment that helps smooth facial lines, wrinkles and acne scars; Botox treatments to smooth the deep, persistent lines that develop between the eyebrows and “crows feet”, microdermabrasion to improve facial scarring, fine lines and wrinkles.

            “Although we have added a number of cosmetic services – which are important in helping maintain patients’ self-esteem and confidence – we are just as knowledgeable in the treatment of acne, acute and chronic skin conditions, and skin cancer,” Dr. Neiman said.

            Dr. Neiman and his physician assistants formulate personal acne programs, and they adjust those programs over time as the progress is made and results are seen. The Center also carries a full line of skin products and make-up specific to various skin problems including acne and rosacea. This eliminates the need to go to an impersonal cosmetic counter when everything is available right at the Center and approved by Dr. Neiman.
